Sexual misconduct

  • Updated

We have a zero-tolerance policy for sexual misconduct and assault. This refers to any sexual contact or behavior without explicit consent from another person. Children under 18 years old cannot provide consent.

  • Some tips to prevent misunderstandings:
    • Avoid comments about appearance or sexuality, or discussions about sexual or romantic topics, including jokes
    • Avoid gestures that could be construed as flirtatious (e.g. winking)
    • Do not touch adults without their consent
    • Be mindful of how you physically interact with children in your care
